RAB's not going to win any fashion awards. The point is it'll save your @ss on top of a mountain. Not quite what everyone needs to sit around a toasty office though

My very first RAB sleeping bag weighed less than 400g yet it kept me warm when it was below freezing outside my tent.

If you want a jacket to wear everywhere then I'd probably give the RAB stuff a miss unless you frequent places full of climbing/mountaineering types

yep, my rab summit is electric blue. exceptionally warm though, although not quite as capacious as my North Face McMurdo tent

ozzy- noted- Im just sick of freezing my arse off every winter as yet another cheap and cheerful jacket bites the dust..

am looking for a 'long termer' ....

I also went into blacks and made sure which McMurdo I wanted and what size.
saying that, I'm not going to buy til xmas is done with.

not got cash to splash really, so will wear a vest under my tshirt, jumper and crap coat for now

Got my extreme weather coat from there nothing gets through it especially fixing cars on the side of a hill in the pi$$ing rain!

Mates wife used to be Quality manager for North Face, then for Henry LLoyd as well, but now works for Next so cant get you one from there!

My waterproof Taiga fleece was well over two years old when a couple of poppers broke on the front & one of the pocket zips came unstitched so the puller fell off.I sent it back for repair & they sent me a brand new fleece FOC.They even checked to see if I wanted a different colour.

Quality bit of kit.
