I don't know of anyone over here, there are a couple in America, C&G performance iirc, I believe they use an interference fit fillet as opposed to Cobb Tuning who use weld.

The only person i have heard of so far doing this sort of relinering work with subaru engines is Steve Guirey i think his name is (SMG Tuning). Don't know where he is based but i have seen his name mentioned a few times on 22b.
That was in relation to boring and relinering a 2.0L CDB to 2.2L/2.33L, not heard of anyone taking a 2.0L CDB out to 2.5L yet which is why i was asking, as all the closed deck crawford stuff 2.33L and beyond from the states was based on a EJ22T block which you can't get anymore.

In my opinion there is no point in linering & boring out a CDB to 2.5. 2.5's don't/won't rev and part of the reason you want a cdb engine is so that it won't shake itself to pieces at high revs. In the absence of any reason to suggest that a 2.5 might need it, I'd stay with the semi closed deck.

2.33 seems to be the way to go on a cdb with altered stroke and bore.

Yes, we can reliner 2.0 cdb to 2.2 or 2.33 size. We can do anything you want with a Subaru engine.

Tim and David YHPM

Wasn't Pavlo running a closed deck 2.5 for a while, one of his modded blocks?
