I heard lucas were abit of a rip off but ive never been there so its just word of mouth, has anyone else been there before?
Basically my cars intermitantly overrevving on idle, doesnt do it for a good 5 mins from cold, but suddenly decides to get revving at roughly 1500rpm when ive been driving abit. Arden Bridge Subaru have had it in for about 3 weeks and have replaced idle air control valve, maf and ecu to no avail. So now its a trip to an auto electrician to look at the circuits more in depth and find out whats causing this bloddy annoying problem!!!
Ps nice silver classic at sainsburys petrol station (shires) sunday at 1ish

Might be worth giving these guys a call
The Village Garage
Tel: 01327 264614
30 Warwick Rd, Upper Boddington, Daventry NN11 6DH
They have just opened but the two brothers who run it are VERY experienced. Between them they have worked for Porsche GB, BMW UK etc.,.. worked at Director level for a dealership and one of them is an ex WRC mechanic.
They are not electrical specialists but I would of thought there is a good chance they can help, certainly worth a call to find out.

WTF was the quad bike rider doing?
I followed one from Kenilworth the other week. He was dressed all in dark colours, it was night time and raining and the thing had just one small rear light. At first I thought it was a bicycle but wasnt sure why it was in the middle of the road. Not safe.

Well I popped in Halfruads at lunchtime and they said the kid was riding like a knobjock and caused the crash, they said he has been arrested. Someone is in hospital, dunno if its the rider or wot.

rider went to hospital with suspected broken ankle, the other lad is fine. The police were taking statements with the intention of doing him for dangerous driving. the quad was insured but in his partners name, so a pretty bad day all round for him

Sorry wrxseeker, didn't spot anyone waving me; Scoob or no Scoob! I do wave though (whatever you're driving ) so I wasn't being rude!
That was almost the last time my car was going to be seen for some time I reckon. 20 minutes after that I was coming back up Harbury Lane towards Leam. The long straight near the Leam side, some old guy in a Rover decided to over take coming towards me and tried to take the whole line of (I think) 6 cars! I was actually not going very quickly (honest!) and could see him from a long way off. Right from the start I had a bad feeling about him so I just came off the gas and cruised. The Muppet had loads of chances to pull back in between the cars he was trying to take but he kept coming! We missed by inches and I was almost, almost going to drive onto the grass. I could have come to a complete stop I guess (yep, thats how slow I was going) but couldn't believe he wouldnt pull back in before then?! In fact I dont even think he knew I was there FFS. Person at the front of the queue he was over taking looked over at me with a shrug and a WTF face.
Closest I have been to disaster in a long while and what a way to go if that had gone nasty. Taken out by a crap old Rover when I am barely moving and on a straight. Its hardly live by the sword...die by the sword eh? First time the car has been out in a week as well. It went back in the garage after. Phew!
Hope you all had a better weekend.

Its always hard when some other idiot drives in a way that makes you think they are going to damage your pride & joy let alone damage you.
At least there was no damage to you or your car - just some underwear to wash !!!
When I saw you you were on the new housing estate off the Tachbrook Rd opposite the new college and AP.
