just getting the box ready to go in; checked torque settings, cleaned bolt holes and lubed bolts and bolt three strips the bell housing thread. Piece of crap.

Trails

only just come across your epic thread/love affair with your wallet/project scope change/HP addiction/shiny bits please/oh whilst i'm at it I may as well..... (delete as applicable) project and as I am sure you have heard many times before this is EXACTLY what these forums are for. I've cpme across Jura before and now you and we all share a common interest - 500hp + wagons. Did you post any completed external pics of your car? thers lots of interesting and unique styling queues on it but I couldn't find a "finished article" where you reveal the machines final look.

Really nicely photographed nicely written thread.

Mine is the Grey wagon on wide Rota T2Rs from the Great M44GGY at RTS.

took it to combe on 31st May and had some real fun. Keep up good work and dare I ask "When........"

Thank you s100bey, kind words for a rambling attempt at a build

Not really got any recent external photos but look has changed very little since it was last running four years ago...I think only change is bumper vent for oil cooler

...and no, you may not ask "when...."

So the bloody thing has continued to surprise me in the worse possible ways but after an amazing day on Saturday I’m feeling the love again…inspired

So an update first before I got to the ball ache...made these with lovely black Mocal race fuel line;

Fitted

Blown gasket on centre diff inspection cover.

New one from ASP, thanks Alyn

Fitted…I think the connector is missing a sur-clip though…

Alyn also sorted me an adapter for my charge temp sensor as I want to run it in the IM where the PCV would be…super star, but I think I may need a longer sensor so need to speak to Tim at JT Innovations.

Then onto repairing the first issue; the stripped thread in the bell housing…helli-coil was successful first go and bolt torqued up successfully; phew The box was then ready to be fitted except for torquing the bolts between the centre diff and bell housing. Simple right?!

Apparently not as one of them snapped with barely any force on it I’ve stripped the centre diff and cradle and here it is, I know it’s a crap photo but that’s all it deserves

I have a stud removal kit but I can’t turn the tap holder because there is no clearance for the gears. I looked to see if I could fit the stud extractor into a socket of some sort but nothing I have fits. So that was a couple of weeks ago and I haven’t been near it until today!

First job was finding the two final wires for the DCCD loom, massive ball ache but I have got them and identified nice simple places to splice into the loom. Just too darn hot today to work in the car, so I sat in the shade and finished securing the ECU to the car. I trimmed one of the centre studs from the OE ECU cage and then covered all the contact points with high density foam.

Fixed the cover back in place after covering the backside with the same foam as the cage, I used the nylon spacers to allow for the larger ECU and additional wiring (thanks Micky )

Carpet back and jobs a good ‘un. More soon
