I just figured I'd drop my 2 pence in here.
Almost 4 years ago they sent me a faulty Nissan Micra lock set, which I returned.
I waited 10 days for the replacement set and then started phoning them, they kept telling me it was on it's way, then told me that the courier didn't turn up blaming the 7/7 bombings. On one of the last calls the guy said "Don't worry mate, I've got it right here ready to go". The manager was only available when it came to taking my money.
They operate in 2 locations and under lots of different names.
I was about to arrange an engine change with a company today called "Jap Car Breakers", only to find out that it is also Jap Auto Parts.

Default I USED TO WORK FOR THESE CON ARTISTS!

I used to work for these crooks for a good number of years and I know how they operate. They sell old parts, claiming to be reconditioned. And you can forget the warranty they give you because there is none! Customers who ring up demanding a refund are fobbed off, phone calls and emails are ignored. There is nothing positive to say about the company. They have got so many letters from trading standards and legal firms but they still don't take heed and will not back down until a courts summons is sent out to them. My advice, anyone who has been ripped off by these crooks should contact trading standards immediately and seek legal advice, trust me when a court date is set the company will refund you. They have already been reported to trading standards countless number of times and the more complaints trading standards receives, the more likely it is this company will get shut down so I urge you to report them asap. By the way, jap autos also own www.macc.com and a scrap yard on Bordesley Green Road Birmingham, stay well clear of them aswell or face losing more of your hard earned money at your peril. I am sick of these scammers taking honest peoples money and making a dirty crooked living out of it. ANYONE WHO WANTS HELP IN GETTING THEIR MONEY BACK CAN CONTACT ME: abdul-ali@live.co.uk

Default engines wastre of time

Don't buy from Jap Autoparts. I did and what was supposed to be a 24 hour delivery turned out to be 8 weeks, 3 enginesand even the last one wasn't right. They rip you off try and pacify you and are not bothered about your circumstances.
They are being investigated by Trading Standards at the moment.
I wouldn't touch them with a barge pole.
Anyone thinking of buying an engine or other parts from this company should heed my words and abdul's in the previous stream it bears a lot truth about the company.
Many thanks Abdul pity I hadn't read your link before I started to buy an engine from them

Ah these muppets, I've been in the unfortunate position to have to use them too.

All I wanted was a hub but they could not be bothered to pull one out for me, then I wanted a stereo surround for a Legacy. They had one in stock that was damaged so I decided to take it anyhow however they wanted silly money for it trying to justify their prices by claiming it is a Subaru not a Micra. My response was it is not a Ferrari either.

Anyway their crap attitude lost them a customer and potentially a lot of others. They have a Legacy Outback breaking but I daren't give them the satisfaction to make an enquiry.

I also noticed a jetwash by their engine store. Lol

Bloody hell , glad I found this thread ! I registered online for parts and got a call back this morning from someone at this place saying they had the gearbox I need ! I asked for part number of the gearbox and was told they would get the number and phone back ! Guess what ? no one called so I phoned back and spoke to another person there called John , chatted for a while and Told him I was waiting for a call with the part number and he said I know who you spoke to this morning , I'll ring you back in an hour !! waited 3 hours so phoned back and got the first
Person who phoned me this morning who doesn't remember but now he wants the reference number for the quote off the Internet !! so gave him the number and he said he would check to see if the parts were available and phone back in 30 minutes !! Phew.

Can agree with this one, brought an R180 rear diff from them. Turned out to be a knackered old R160 diff. Wouldn't return calls once they knew about the problem. Turning up on there door step with a car full of friends solved the issue. Money back and part returned. Deffo one to miss tho!
