AEM Cold Air Intake, Wing type one in crinkle red yes throttle response seems a bit sharper quite abit louder to when the turbo come onto boost nice few chatters out of it to on low boost when you let off the throttle, seems to pull stronger to

My turn for a question.

Do any of you have a remote boot release? If yes, where is it? Beign the only person that gets in my car, I'm getting pished off with playing key fob simon says just to open the frigging boot. (mine has double locking but not a keyless start).

I've got keyless entry and start. Boot release is on my fob thingy or i push the button on my boot with the fob thing in my pocket.

Hi Simon
I have an STI type UK. The key has one button. First press unlocks the driver door, a perfectly timed second press unlocks the other doors plus boot. You still need to press the button on the boot to open it.
However, if you miss time the 2nd press of the button you will get nothing if it is to early and if it is too late you lock the car again. My wife won't drive the car because of it. I just press the button once and unlock the rest using the button on the drivers door. Pain in the ....
Does that sound about right?

Exactly what I'm having to do, or as I put it "Simon says" remember that game for the 80's???

Was compairing the scoob with my colleagues St170 and he has a button on the dash which pops the boot, and I was wondering if we had 1 to prevent the game. (I have looked throught he manual and through the car but can't find 1)

They are prodrive GT1 18" in Anthracite and were only £250 each. The tyres were almost as expensive as the wheels. I paid £1800 or £1900 for the wheels and tyres fitted from a subaru dealer. You can see the on the accessory section of the subaru website or on the prodrive website. Obviously I really like them

Picked mine up today from Simpsons of Swindon.
done about 100 miles in it today, dealer said gentle for 1000 miles then build up so will drive up to blackpool next week on the back lanes just to get some miles in.
will post up pictures in a few days.

Mine last month before fitting the Rally Armors. Just completed first 1k mls, going to Prosport next week for oil change service & ECU reflash.

Has anyone else heard the Prodrive springs are now available? Anyone fitted them yet?

I asked my Dealer About Prodrive springs he didnt seem to know if there was any ?? So bought A set of Coilovers from Apex Performance

Pete at Prosport said they were out but I'm just looking at bars as it's suppose to keep the ride quality but kill the body roll. I've got the anti-lift fitted, which has made a big difference and I don't want to turn it into a bone shaker like my Classic.

Paul, can you keep us posted please. Thats what I want. Infact I drove my classic today. owwwwwwwwwwwwwwww, OMG its ride is hard as nails. Whats worse is I used to enjoy it!!

Keep us updated. I can't decide whether to stick with subaru prodrive combo to have zero warranty issues/questions or whether to get some bars to keep the ride quality. I don't know what to do.
The revolution guys fitted some eibach springs to their car and rated them pretty high for comfort. Don't eibach make the springs for prodrive as well? I am sure I read that in Banzai or Japanese performance car

The PPP I ordered quite some time ago has arrived at the dealership.
I have also ordered the prodrive springs, so they should all be getting fitted late this week or early next week.
I will post some photos when it is all done and give you my thoughts.

The PPP gives you the punch in the back feeling I felt I'd lost from my classic. Once you get it on song it pulls like a train and it's been said that you get more than the 330/350 quoted. I think it's about as high as you can go without a sports cat or decat downpipe.

With regard to the PPP - it's good but a full 3" milltek turbo back system, panel filter and re-map will give you better results and future tuning potential IMO (and if you know your dealer well it should not effect the warranty either)

It doesn't matter how well you know the dealer, if they send out an inspector you've had it. I don't know what Subaru would do to the dealer but I'm sure the dealer would think twice about pulling the wool over Subaru eyes if they think they could be found out.

I also had an engine fail early on (poor original engine ecu map causing det) and had the short engine replaced under warranty....

The PPP is a good option and a very cost effective and reliable route...But if you ask Powerstation, the Milltek system, K&N panel filter and re-map are accepted by a number of Subaru main dealers as being ok as regards the warranty, I am certain that the dealers do not pull the wool over Subaru UK eyes about it, it is just that in their opinion these parts are ok (although Subaru UK may disagree I'm sure)

If I ever had to make another warranty claim regarding the engine all the OE parts would go back on there before it went into the dealer anyway

I questioned my dealer about mods before I got my 08 and he said once you mod the performance the warranty would be invalid. The reason I went for a new car was the reliability, what a joke and the fact that it's just one call in case of breakdown. I didn't want to have to get bits changed before I could call the recovery.
