Loads better in the wet compared to the Bridgestone's,
I was actually really impressed between the difference
I wasn't a fan of GSD3's as I had them before on a Leon Cupra R
but on my Scoob they are perfect. It feels so predictable you don't
have to guess when the grip is going to give.
Mate - they are still shocking in comparison to Vredesteins - although I find the GSD3's on the front were find in the dry, I find the back has a tendency to break grip when cornering at higher speed whereas the Vredesteins just hold on hence why I keep raving about em
Can't recommend them enough and they're the same price.
I'm happy with FK 452's on mine and had RE070's before which were nothing short of brilliant in the dry and ridiculously scarey in the wet- I was hesitant to do more than 50 on a wet motorway for fear of hitting standing water. For this reason I wouldn't gop back to them.
I've got R888's (medium/soft compound) on my Caterham and they're brilliant, but will probably only last about 3-4K miles!!! As others have suggested though, not the best with standing water!
hey mate if you havent! decided yet!!! what a few people have said, Goodyear eagle F1 tyres are the best. just got some too.good tread pattern... all weather, no noise from them. as others have said, will never look back to any other tyre. good luck thats all info you need
Have tried all sorts of tyres, and in my opinion the Goodyear Eagle F1 Asymetrical are the best. Wet and dry grip is mind boggling. I have Toyo Proxes T1-R's fitted on mine at the minute due to changing alloys, I think they are ****e to be honest! They squeal alot.. The T1-s again, pants, really disappointed but maybe I was spoilt with asymetricals and Sessanta's.
The Avon ZZ3 were a good tyre in comparison to how much they cost.
The Vredestiens are also a good tyre, and for me a close second to the asymetricals.

Just to add something in the mix, i've always used Yoko Parada sII's. they last well, but the only downside is wet performance when 50%+ worn.
i run out of bottle before the tyres do, generally!!! hahhahaha
Vreddies on my STI - Astonishing grip and turn in for a road tyre and provided you have the right pressures (they are sensitive to variations), then no squeeling........
Won't have any other tyre on my scooby any more.... Vreddies are terrific wet or dry...

He hadn't kurbed it nor been down heavy potholes.
I may go for Yoko Prada 2's next to test.

Errr - mate if it's only the OSF that sounds far more like his geometry's well out than a problem with the tyre to me.
Getting them pretty cheap as the tyre supplier owes me a few favours.
Paradas (not Pradas ) are supposed to be a great tyre in the dry but a bit hairy in the wet according to my friend who runs them on his.
The Vreddies have a fairly similar pattern to them but slightly bigger grooves in the centre with more smaller parts to the tread round the outside of the wheel, which may explain why most people think they grip better. You can get em from Camskill for about £80 a corner I believe?
Over 2000 miles on mine now and wear seems much better than the GSD3's they replaced.
I have had great success with Avon ZZ3 205/45/16 's on my sprint STI, excellent dry and wet grip , 240 treadwear, AA Traction and Temp A, for the techies. You will be hard pushed to find a £60 tyre with a treadwear near 240 and AA traction at that price. Oh and it comes from good old UK as well. Help the economy !!!
ive got yokohama advan sports on my 2003 sti, and ive not once had any squeal at any speed round any bend, and have lasted really well. not cheap tho,and yes i do push it hard before any miss daisy comments lol
Try some Falken FK452's. You will not be dissapointed and not silly money either.
Just got 2 for mine, am advised there amazing, been using falken ze912 before which is cheaper if costs an issue, in comparison to Toyo Proxes T1R and Avon they miles better all round, Toyos are great until rain

I was recommending Vreddies not Yokos mate.
My neighbour is the buyer for a Tyre wholesaler serving the whole south east.
They sell A LOT of Toyo and Yoko Tyree but strangely not many Vreddies. When I want them he has to order them specially.
Strange given they're so good.
