does SC46R mean a twisted set up? what does the R stand for?
any update on the twin scroll SC46 unit? what is the availability?

Hi,

its a typo, we dont do a 46 R its just a SC46 billet

The SC46 billet is a direct fit, bolt on turbo, no chopping out lumps of block, fits in the standard location using standard fit up and down pipes.

In answer to your question regarding the SC46 Twin Scroll, they have been fully tested, results on this thread, they work really well and are in stock ready to ship.

cheers
Kev

Does this mean that I can purchase a SC46 Twin Scroll outright, not having to trade in a VF37 exhaust housing?

Thought I read that somewhere in this thread, but I might be wrong.

cheers

Hi,

no need the price is already on this thread somewhere.

The SC46 Billet twin scroll is £1295.00 exchange as we need your old exhaust housing back. This situation is about to change as we have custom cast housings available soon

cheers

IIRC the test mule for this was a 2.0l? What rpm did it hit 1 bar, and what rpm max boost (think you only posted power and torque graphs).

Any results from a 2.5? Would be really interested to compare results - especially spool - with my LM480

Hi,

if you require an outright buy then simply add £250.00 + vat.

The 2.0 ltr built STI with a 46 Billet did not fair much better, the turbo was well up for it but the engine would not take any timing, the car did 416 bhp and was begging for a meth mix or some E 85.

However road testing on the 2.0 ltr car was stunning, dyno figures are not everything, the cars performance was amazing.

We are dyno running an SC46 billetized car on Thursday and we are hopefully doing an STI 8 with a 46 Billet Friday.

Results to follow.

owner of the 2ltr test mule here. would just like to say.....even tho the figure wasnt what kev n the lads was hoping.it goes like an absolute rocket!!!.like kev said, figures arent everything, and when i flashed a lamborgini in to the slow lane on the way home.... well thats all the dyno graph i need!! haha. thanks guys amazing job as usual!!.

The problem with the test of the sc46 twin scroll is it was using E85 fuel.

E85 is great for more power + better spool. Just that makes comparisons a little hard as not every one can use e85.

Looking forward to the sc46 tests...

Shame Chesterfield's so far from the New Forest otherwise I'd consider a (temporary) swap to be done for mine, simply for comparison purposes.

I no i need to upgrade my clutch but would you reccomend upgrading anything else like an oil cooler etc? I would like to no exactly what other bits you reccomend before i bring the car up to yous lot to fit most of the parts listed above, I would like to say a big thankyou to scooby clinic, I have probably been driving adam mad with all my phone calls, But there always so helpfull and a Well run outfit, I will be having all my work done with in the next 4/6 weeks

Hi,

we have done an SC46 billet twin scroll on a standard 2.0 ltr jdm car, running Shell "V" power, will dig out the graph later today.

Hi,

reply no. 700

We are to fit another SC46 Billet on a 2.0 ltr STI this weekend and see what results we get on a standard engine with a few external mods and a syvecs

Testing on the 2.5 was exactly where we wanted it to be, therefore the whole billet range is in stock and ready to ship, all that is except the SC40 billet, still looking at that one.

cheers
Kev
