Hello.
Thanks for all the positive comments guys.
I guess with Kleins it's a bit like vintage electric guitars. You need to see one to appreciate the beauty of the finish and the build quality, hold one to appreciate the (lack of) weight, and then ride one to discover how everything combines to create the 'Klein experience' that makes these frame/fork/handlebar combinations so special.
J4CKO, I take the '95 for the odd gallop, having applied enough masking tape to the frame to protect the paint from possible stone chips.
The SS 1990 bike is mostly for showing off (posing around) on the driest of days. And it sure does attract attention wherever it goes
My regular 'modern' ride (apart from the GT Avalanche I commute to the Station on) is this - a Cannondale Caad 5 F800 (about 2002) frame and fork I got hold of NIB and built up to my own spec:
It's pretty light and glides along the trials. Handles great, and the Lefty front end is a pleasure to work with.
Been out both evenings this weekend, but had to come home early for TG Covered about 40 or so off road miles
Cheers

Is this 1995 creation work ought much? In stupidly lovely condition
Still have the original seatpost and saddle somewhere.
I too went down the Cannondale route and I cant complain at all.
Rush Carbon......gets used as it was designed for.

Sold my 2002 Kona Bear last night, went for £230 on Ebay, poor guy trecked seven hours through the M6 carnage to get here, in an Evo 9, probably seventy quids worth of fuel as well, seemed happy enough, I didnt use it, I find even a road bike gets me as far off road as I need to go, cant be arsed with full susser, though they are great fun you have to stick them in the car and find somewhere suitable to use them, I just like to get on my bike and go.

Also had a 1988 Raleigh Special products Titanium frame bike (MTRAX?), which I built up as a single speeder several years ago.
I recently sold it to a chap keen on retro bikes for £120.
Was original frame, de-badged but with some nice black Tioga wheels, Avid Speed Dials and Single Digit brakes and a strong crankset with a single speed conversion.
Was light, very fast but just didn't have the room for it anymore.
Cheers

Also known as daz
Very nice kleins, im partial to the old alpinestars bikes.
Got my 10 speed xt shifter. It feels much sturdier than xtr so i can't wait to try it out.
Can't atm as im still waiting on the xt cassette to be in stock, my xtr shadow mech should work fine id imagine, if not it's going to get expensive.
