Bipolar? Lol. I'll take your first reply. Not sure why you replied twice with seemingly 2 completely different perspectives! Odd.

Anyhow, let's move on please. This is some way off topic.

It's all good.

Now, now ladies lets not get our knickers in a twist

Some nice figures on here, this my gearbox will explode is one of the many scoobynet myths, some do of course let go but quite a few don't as has been said before the newage ty54 boxes are alot stronger than the ty52 classic boxes, there is also a certian element of bad luck poor servicing and general abuse involved.

i shall in the summer be taking my blob wrx ppp as far as it will go on a fmic, pinks and vf34,sti up pipe with fuel pump, fpr ect, but my limiting factor will be 95ron and a cat so anywhere around 320 and i'll be over the moon.

And hopefully the box will be ok, if not i'll fit my ty52 dccd box and diff that has ran 320 with no problems.

Grow up mate. You need to think before you post. You also need to read back through the thread and apologise. Now can we please just move on for gods sake? I'm fed up with this now. Will unsubscribe from the thread as I don't wish to be involved in this petty bickering. Thanks.

What kinda torque were you running?

In order of maps:

My four maps were:
353/335 v-power and 1.3ish bar boost + autobahn fmic.
353/354 v-power and full bottle of nf per tank. Don't know boost. STI tmic.
391/392 v-power with 5l of e85 per tank. 1.5 bar. STI tmic.
"mid 370ish of both" on v-power only. Japspeed fmic.

My car really didn't like the nf for some reason, it idled rough etc, so decided to try e85 as the swedes seem to get really good results with it, and it worked really well with my set-up, but messing around with mixing fuel is a ball ache, so went back to normal v-power.

Tbh I don't notice much difference between the e85 and the petrol map. Slightly earlier pick up with the e85 maybe, but it's only down 15-20bhp anyway, and still very torquey for a 2-litre engine once it comes on boost.

Simon has mapped the car three times, and every time the car/map has improved. The first map was done back in 2007 with the design brief of keeping it safe'ish, and that's probably why the figures are lower on that one.

Well I went on the rollers for a power run Saturday at Surrey Rolling Road. I made 242bhp. Only mods are:

Cosworth panel filter
Pfrb7 plugs
Prodrive 2nd decat
Afterburner non res centre section
Prodrive Backbox

Now for my remap

I have done 95ron before and can't be arsed with the chasing around after vpower, and the varying quality of 99ron throughout europe on my travels for the sake of 15/20 bhp, 320 or there abouts is fine by me, when i want more ill, forge the engine and fit a bigger turbo.

Morning Duncan.

Not sure if you've got me confused with someone else? This is my 1st scoob.

I was there when you were swapping the new air filter onto the spec c but we went to the pub to try and thaw out before it went on the rollers! We missed the rs6 on there aswell

Rob posted his figures up when he got home, he was really pleased

Std 5spd, box has been rebuilt twice, first following a mistake by myself when I was flat in 4th went for 5th but got 3rd, second rebuild was required following a failure due to the nut on the mainshaft not being tightened correctly during the first rebuild, been ok for a few years now though, std clutch assembly with ap racing friction plate, but it does slip.

Fair play! Spose you don't launch the car or anything? Or is it just your daily car? Is a Blob wrx 5 speed the same as the hawk 5 speed?

Used to launch it and often spun all fours away from the lights, abit more careful since the rebuild mind, not sure if boxes are the same.

just some advice worth considering and anyone correct me if im wrong ? b ut i would definately invest in getting the vf35 ported ? they are common for boost creep ! also ditch the fuel pressure regulator for a 3 port boost solanoid

and i know they look nice imo,but fmic is not needed it will give you no better gains than an sti tmic . so the 100+ quid you save there could go towards the turbo porting .
