Whereas Murdoch coined $33.3m on his own. That's why they sank the News of The world. It represented 1% of the business.

Clarkson is also a false lead Sam. Top Gear as a franchise is very profitable and they easily make that money back and a lot more. Offsets other programes like Downton etc.

The global sales of the Top Gear series is phenominal and a huge income to the BBC which is the only reason he hasn't been sacked for his previous misdemeanors and outspoken attitude, he simply is too valuable to the BBC to get rid of.
