I'm looking at Type-R's atm but i won't be in a position to buy one for at least a year, and I've recently been in contact with someone for one for cheaper, even though it was just window shopping.
As for cleaner example's, i think there are cleaner examples of most peoples cars, especially mine lol. And this forum saw only a month or 2 ago a member buy what i would consider a good example for only £2500 (obviously a ridiculous bargain).

I understand what you mean though, criticism is easy from afar.

Thank you for your anwers. Can you suggest me some that look good to you? Obviously not one of your freinds, but something that is clean.

Btw how much a rebuild cost about?? Why almost all of the advertisments either sti or type-r say about rebuilds and new engines?

It's usually the bottom end that lets go on these. The reasons are various, maf sensor going on them, badly modded cars that haven't been mapped to suit, ones that have been thrashed and neglected service wise.
Look for good service history on ones that have been in the uk a while. Most important that they've had the oil changed say every 5000 miles.I do mine every 5000 kms or just before the oil starts to lose its golden colour.
Don't be put off by one that's had a rebuild. Its nice if it's been done by someone reputable with receipts to prove. That way if you want to,you can call the builder for their opinion on the car.
Rebuild costs vary and can start from say £2800 to £3000 for sti parts up to astronomical if you want big power

Thank you for your answer, it solved me much questions. There are 2 type r that I am talking with. About on the same miles, one has rebuild and one has not. Which one would you prefer? I know it is general and depends on the engine but the one that has not, i think that it will need in while...

i know that you will curse me when you read that msg, but i am thinking of buying an evo 6 instead of the type r, that is because i read a lot of engine problems and i do not want to take a car and afraid about when it will have an engine problem, what is your opinion about this

if there was not that issue, i would have gone for the type r with closed eyes

The type R only has issues with the engine because people dont carry out the right mods or push the hp way to far on standard internals, which is the same for the gearbox.

It will be the same with an evo or any other car out there, people want big hp but arnt willing to spend/carry out the right mods.

Owning a type R myself im obviously biased, theres no comparison between it and a crappy evo end off.

If you look after it do the right mods and stay within sensible hp limits for the parts the car is fitted with then your going to have a fantistic car that looks the muts nuts

So why ask for my postcode and if I'm free Tuesday morning and then start this whole thread by saying you are looking at my car on Tuesday morning ??!

Whatever, go and buy an overpriced Evo and deal with Mitsubishi's prices instead because Evo's never go wrong !

I will buy whatever I want but do not ruin the threat...

Perhaps if your grasp of the English language was a bit better then there wouldn't have been this mis-understanding ?

Seems like you are just one of those dreamers who never actually buy a car, I'll see you over on the Evo forums yeah and you can mess them around too, joker !

On sunday you send me 2 msgs that i did not reply, and then you continue until today to send me msg, if you are so despreate to sell your car, is not my problem...

If i am a dreamer or not is my case, and can a moderator do something about his post? Should i start flaming also like him? Would that make the situation better?

Lol I have a friend like that.5 years ago I picked up an Evo he really wanted. For 5 years everytime he popped round he'd ask when I'm selling it.
This time last year I gave him first offer.Said he'd think about it,when 3 weeks later he decided not to.
I px'd it the next week and he went mad, saying he would've bought it.
He wants a type R now since I picked up this one and he's looked at a few but makes silly offers.
I don't know how his misses lives with him.
