what is this?

my scoobynet browsing always pauses while this thing loads, SN would work a hell of a lot faster if it never paused on each page to wait for it ?

Its a tracking cookie. The new owners of scoobynet are selling statistics of our browsing habits.

Spyware, but it does not actually do any harm.

This is my Scooby. To set up your own Scooby, go to your user cp, and click 'Edit Settings'.

Mick: if you block the doubleclick site then SN will run a lot quicker. This is one of many reasons why the site runs slowly, but its something you can improve yourself. ABP on Firefox works well.....

Yup, Adblock plus on Firefox V3 is pretty nippy, and you get to igonre a load of dross. Before any complains about how advertising supports SN. I pay a subscription precisely so I can bin the adverts with a clear conscience.
