Question Removing surface scuffs on plastic- how ?

First my apologies if this is posted in the wrong section, couldn't decide if it was non scooby or diy but as it is about scratch removal this seemed a good place.

I have some small (6 x 4 inch ) plastic (perspex) display boxes that are now getting a bit scuffed with surface marks. nothing too deep or serious but no longer a good clear surface. Is there any way to polish out the scuff marks and restore the surface to a shine ? My first thought was T-cut and elbow grease but thought I would just ask and see if there is a better idea !

Cheers and thanks

You can use really fine wet/dry sandpaper, about 1500-2000grit. Then just use a bit of polish to bring up a nice glossy finish.

I did this to my front indicators, because they were scratched up a bit.

Thanks for the replies.
I did do a 'google' but rather than buy something from just the advert I was hoping that there may be a product/technique that someone has used with success.

Even a fine wet/dry sounds a little extreme but I will give it a test go on one and see what happens.

Cheers

Megs do a polish called plast-x - its for convertable plastic screens etc - ive used it and its alright but nothing great - I tend to use intensive polish on a light cut pad to shift scratches out of lights and stuff

Menzerna Final Polish II applied using a Lake Country German CCS Light Cut Pad works nice on soft plastics, although as above, the stronger Menzerna polishes such as 203S can also be used effectively in casesd where more cut is required. Details here...
