Default my99 clutch change

hey guys, how long does it take to change a clutch on a MY99, and are they a pain in the **** to do, or are they steady away. i'm a mechanic but have never dropped the box out of a scoob before

5 hours for removal and refit, that what Powerstation charge.

thats not too bad then. i dint want it to be a 3 day job! like to get fired in and out as soon as i can.

I did mine in about 5 hours on my dads garage floor, pretty straight forward for anybody with mechanical skills. Put in a search here and they is quite a few threads detailing how it's done.

If you're a mechanic, then you'll be one step ahead ofmost, if you can use a ramp all the better....... the hardest part is normally getting the gearbox off the block..... they stick like crazy!!!

The search function is at the top of the page, 3rd from the left. As you're a mechanic you may own the old Vauxhall pin punch with the dimple on it for doing the old vauxhall brake pads, it's spot on for knocking the pins out that hold the drive shaft on.
Soak the sides of the bellhousing in wd40 as well, mine was fine as the box had been out a few times.

i have access to a ramp, so it should be easier than doing it on me back. cheers guys
