Default Question about my VTA dump valve

Hi people I've just put a new VTA dump valve on my car as my old VTA dump has started leaking the old dump valve was a single piston dump valve but when I spoke to the people I brought my new one off they said the twin piston would be better for my car as my car has an airflow meter so I got the new one this morning and put it on my car and the dump valve is not making any sound at all no whoosh or anything, sounds like it doesn't even have a dump valve on it, so I was wondering does it take a while for a new dump valve to start working properly or is there something wrong with the dump valve?
Also the old dump valve is the same make as my new one but just a single piston dump valve.

Is it moving at all when you rev the car? Because it wont make a noise unless you drive it

When looking at the dump valve when revving it you can see the spring I believe it is moving but with my old dump valve when revving up it would close the holes on the dump valve and when you release the throttle they would open and you would get the noise but on my new dump valve when I'm revving up it doesn't close off the holes they just stay open constantly but you can see something moving inside the dump valve.
But when I'm driving when I go on boost and release the throttle there's no sound what so ever but since putting the new dump valve on it drives so much smoother but with no sound from the dump valve and I don't know whether to leave it on incase I end up damaging the engine or anything?

Well all the hoses that are connected to the BOV and intercooler are jubilee clipped on as done by a previous owner but I didn't think that would be the problem would it??
