Especially BC ones, recently fitted and being a cheapskate I have been driving around without the rear seat so I can make the damping adjustments.

Which was bloody lucky, because when I put the 5 litres of magnolia emulsion in the boot, carefully wedged in the corner, I really didnt expect to see it appearing like some swamp monster into the passenger compartment.

Well 3 hours later and without time for pics I'm afraid, I have finally managed to tame the *******. The Mrs is well pleased that I've shown that I can use the washing machine, though she wasnt so pleased that i didnt take whatever was in there out first.

A lesson hard learned, something I've not done with paint before and wont be doing again. I really dont understand though how it can go so far in a car when it never seems quite enough to do the walls.

Now I'm going to sit down and just rock gently, while repeating the word wibble.

Hi,

my 2006 STI was sold to me without the front headlight leveling sensor, the wishbone had been exchanged after an accident.

I have now ordered the OEM headlight leveling sensor but my mechanic tells me it won't fit straight to the wishbone.

So I wonder if there is any mounting bracket between the sensor and the wishbone, or is it bolted straight on to the wishbone?

Or is it more likely the vendor exchanged the STI wishbone for an easier to find wishbone from a different model?

Does anyone have a picture of the parts in question or anything similar?

Cheers, Jens

I've always had trouble getting tee-shirts/polo shirts that fit properly. Mainly because they are usually 'square' to allow for the average pot-belly so just hang off me. Being a *slim* guy myself .... :D If they do fit chest-wise that usually means they are too short so I lose out both ways. Now part of this is that I have almost zero interest in fashion and zero interest in spending lots of money on clothes, plus traipsing around shops all day just isn't my thing. Typical bloke I guess ....

I have had a few that fit nicely. A Ralph Lauren one. I seem to remember a Calvin Klein one fitted (both I guess from TK Max - and I especially hate going through their collections!) and a polo shirt from Primark, of all places. Anyone know of a tee-shirt/polo shirt make that actually fits nicely AND is fairly long.

Ta in advance.

Dave

Further to my thread a while back about my car being possibly written off, well it turns out that it was repaired so the damage wasn't quite as bad as first thought.

However, the owner of the car that did a runner after hitting my car, has reported the car stolen. :Whatever_. (For the second time in a few days) Hmm. :wonder:.

Being Ilford where the crash happened, I fully expect this to be passed around the block so many times the Police will inevitably give up, leaving me £350 out of pocket, as I had to pay the excess today.

We have been told about a scheme where you can claim back any costs incurred from being hit by an uninsured or untraceable driver, has anyone been through this and how do I go about doing it?

Any help or tips would be great :)

Guys,

My poor rottie is being driven crazy by the scent of a fox which has marked it's scent on the neighbours fence which adjoins our garden.

I am at the end of my tether as nothing seems to work. I have telephoned the RSPCA, Fox Society, Kennel Club etc and no-one can help. Please don't make any funny comments as it is starting to affect my dog's health and I am desparate to do something to make things better for him.

I don't want suggestions of shooting the damn things either (no matter how attractive the thought!!) as it's the smell I need to get rid of. I am very worried now about my dog!

Please if anyone has had any experience or has any advice, please please please share it!

Thank you in advance,

Laura
