I've always had trouble getting tee-shirts/polo shirts that fit properly. Mainly because they are usually 'square' to allow for the average pot-belly so just hang off me. Being a *slim* guy myself .... :D If they do fit chest-wise that usually means they are too short so I lose out both ways. Now part of this is that I have almost zero interest in fashion and zero interest in spending lots of money on clothes, plus traipsing around shops all day just isn't my thing. Typical bloke I guess ....

I have had a few that fit nicely. A Ralph Lauren one. I seem to remember a Calvin Klein one fitted (both I guess from TK Max - and I especially hate going through their collections!) and a polo shirt from Primark, of all places. Anyone know of a tee-shirt/polo shirt make that actually fits nicely AND is fairly long.

Ta in advance.

Dave

Further to my thread a while back about my car being possibly written off, well it turns out that it was repaired so the damage wasn't quite as bad as first thought.

However, the owner of the car that did a runner after hitting my car, has reported the car stolen. :Whatever_. (For the second time in a few days) Hmm. :wonder:.

Being Ilford where the crash happened, I fully expect this to be passed around the block so many times the Police will inevitably give up, leaving me £350 out of pocket, as I had to pay the excess today.

We have been told about a scheme where you can claim back any costs incurred from being hit by an uninsured or untraceable driver, has anyone been through this and how do I go about doing it?

Any help or tips would be great :)

Guys,

My poor rottie is being driven crazy by the scent of a fox which has marked it's scent on the neighbours fence which adjoins our garden.

I am at the end of my tether as nothing seems to work. I have telephoned the RSPCA, Fox Society, Kennel Club etc and no-one can help. Please don't make any funny comments as it is starting to affect my dog's health and I am desparate to do something to make things better for him.

I don't want suggestions of shooting the damn things either (no matter how attractive the thought!!) as it's the smell I need to get rid of. I am very worried now about my dog!

Please if anyone has had any experience or has any advice, please please please share it!

Thank you in advance,

Bought one to investigate development possibilities.

Bought one to investigate development possibilities.

Here are my thoughts based on someone who has used Apple products for less than a hour in my life before, but happy to program microcontrollers in assembly language.

Always thought Apple products were cut down, locked down and for smug people.

Cut a SIM down and filed it to fit to get the same Three 150MB that lasts 90 days for a £5 top up that can then be used to give a further month of data, works great. Vast majority of use will be Wifi though.

Reception and GPS are good. Compass is iffy.

Responsiveness is usually impressive, occasionally lags but doesn't miss user input, just delays in showing it.

App store exits after you've selected an app.

Can't find a way to delete the entire contents of the address bar in Safari?

No SD, USB, flash, video output, camera does limit some possibilities compared with our £150 Asus netbook with a very light build of XP on it, and it seems a bit prehistoric to have to plug it in via USB to your computer to sync with the horror that is Itunes.

Now I can appreciate the smugness of Apple people because a lot of things do just work and are mostly intuitive and slick with hugely impressive performance for what is really quite limited processing power, but there is something Mickey Mouse feeling about the whole thing, it feels like a toy. Nice that there isn't really a load of updates to do. A good toy though, fun to use, would work well in a car for engine management purposes. Makes me more interested in getting an IPhone 4 when available on Three.

It is still on the old OS until they update it for the Ipad I believe.

A man boarded an aircraft at London's Heathrow Airport for New
York, and taking his seat as he settled in, he noticed a very beautiful
woman boarding the plane. He realised she was heading straight toward
his seat and bingo - she took the seat right beside him.

'Hello', he blurted out, 'Business trip or vacation?'
She turned, smiled enchantingly and said, 'Business. I'm going to
the annual nymphomaniac convention in the United States.'
He swallowed hard. Here was the most gorgeous woman he had ever
seen sitting next to him, and she was going to a meeting for
nymphomaniacs!

Struggling to maintain his composure, he calmly asked, 'What's your
business role at this convention?' 'Lecturer,' she responded .'I use
my experience to debunk some of the popular myths about sexuality.'
'Really', he smiled, 'what myths are those?'
'Well,' she explained, 'one popular myth is that African-American
men are the most well endowed when, in fact, it's the Native American
Indian who is most likely to possess that trait. Another popular myth
is that French men are the best lovers, when actually it is the men of
Greek descent. We have also found that the best potential lovers in all
categories are the Irish.'

Suddenly the woman became uncomfortable and blushed. 'I'm sorry,'
she said 'I really shouldn't be discussing this with you, I don't even
know your name!'

'Tonto,' the man said. 'Tonto Papadopoulos, but my friends call
me Paddy.'

Anyone running it on an iphone 3g and if so have you got it to run as well as when it was on OS3?
...

Anyone running it on an iphone 3g and if so have you got it to run as well as when it was on OS3?

After lots of reports of OS4 killing the performance of the 3g the fix apparently is a factory reset of the iphone and restore.

However after this is done does it still seem slower than the previous OS? Also is it worth jailbreaking OS4 for the battery meter and multitasking?

I've decided to stick with my 3g and cancel my iphone 4 order when it arrives in store as my 3g just does all I need it to and can't justify £499 on the new one. Just wondering if I will regret updating it to the new OS?

Mods - i've posted in here as opposed to computer section as lots of iphone questions already in here and will get more answers.
