NOW SOLD

Bought this example, my first Scooby, back in February 2005, completely standard.

In 2010 the car was used as a "pristine" example by the Discovery TV channel's "Wheeler Dealers" series presented by Mike Brewer.

I then went for the Prodrive style look, with a front bumper and skirts, a version 8 rear bumper and clusters to make the car visually more up to date.
With the styling there I then concentrated on the handling, engine and braking, with a stage 3 handling pack and stage 2 engine mods going on in 2011.

Reaching figures of 324/320, I decided to stop chasing higher figures and keep the car reliable.
I then purchased a blob STI.
P.S. Added the ridiculous 1/4 mile time just as a friendly dig at Wiley's 200mph on his profile

Thanks mate. Thought about doing a blob front-end conversion, but tbh I've come to like the front-end of the bug and it's one of things that makes it a little different from the others you see out there.
Still loving it after nearly 7 years of ownership!

Nice car mate, I have the same and I had the front end replaced with the newer model, eg lights wings and bonnet. you wouldnt know the difference!

It's been over a period of three and a half years mate, adding stuff when I can.
Main lot done in 2 - did all the styling mods in one year, then handling and engine the next.

how long did it take you for the mods to date? cheers
