How long Battery disconnect for ECU Reset?
#3
not sure what system the scoobys use, on later bosch systems (motornic 7+) power removal does not reset the ecu only the diag tool does, however it does not need to be reset as it can adjust power levels up for better fuel as well as down so doesnt cap the car like the older systems used to.

not sure, flush the tank through with a couple of loads of optimax, take the bat of over night (or as long as you can) then give it 15 mins of hard driving.
If it feels no diff it has an adaptive anti knock system or the battery wasnt off long enough, if it feels faster it doesnt.

I had to reset my ECU beacause of something stupid i did ie, drove my car with speedo cable diconnected because i pulled it out whilst changing to white dials. I was told to diconect the battery for 20 mins.I have a MY98 STI.Everything ok after i did this.Hope this helps.

You don't need to disconnect the battery at all to reset the ECU (I'm not even sure if that would do it without keeping the battery disconnected for months)
Nick_TypeUK has supplied the link to the instructions for resetting the ECU.
Just actually wondering why you need to reset the ECU though.
