Hi all,
Ive had a bad ilde on my STi since I got it. Xtreme Scoobies trialed a new lambda and MAF to no avail, but suggested the ISCV.
Got a CEL the other day so have just interrogated the coded, which are:
24 = Idle air control solenoid
31 = Throttle pos sensor
Anyone got any ideas on where the Idle air solenoid is? I presume the TPS is the box near the intercooler with A/B/C written on it?
If so, any way I can test them with a DVM, or do I just replace them?
Help appreciated,
MB

Thanks for the link,
I took the ISCV apart and the spindle was quite free. Might try filling it with carb cleaner too.
The TPS looks a bit tricky to get to so will just get a new one.
Could one be a symptom of the other, or are they both likely to be shagged?

Good point, ta.
The ISCV was free to turn, so guess its just the TPS. Anyone know what these cost as new? Or is a 2nd hand one worth a look?

IIRC new price is something like £45 for the 99/00 cars from a dealer. Not sure whether '98 uses the same part or not, but can't imagine the cost being much different either way.
