3 port solenoid fitting question
Hi,
Just bought a 3 port here on SN.
Looks like this:
I popped the bonnet on my MY02 STI and unplugged my 2 port, and the connector is different.
Its being mapped next week, so will the mapper just cut off the connector and make it connect ? (Its only 2 cables)
Or, is there a special 3 port solenoid for the newage ?

wr1 came with 3 port solenoid as standard so to see if your 3 port would fit pop to your friendly subaru garage and check the solenoid out via their parts/service staff,i would not think an older one would be any different to be honest but you never know-if it is second hand get your mapper to make sure it is working in the first place

The ECU won't be able to run the 3 port so I wouldn't bother fitting it just yet
Most mappers will supply a 3 port on the day of fittting if you have bought the wrong one
Bob Rawle sorted mine on the day
does it have a part number on it ??

the part number says 16102AA013
its just the electrical connector that is different, so I guess a cut and splice will be in order
