Adjustible Vernier Cam Pulleys
Can you retro fit them to the engine while it is in place? or can it only be done while the engine is out?

It could be done but would be an absolute nightmare. To hold the cams while you undo and the retorque the bolts that hold the pulleys you'd need the rocker covers off and even then it would be incredibly difficult.
If you can do it with the engine out it would be a lot less grief.

The reason i ask is that the engine will be coming out to fit new heads in jan/feb, but im not 100% sure that ill be able to source a set of pulleys to compliment them in time, i guess i will just have to make sure that i do i guess!
Thanks

If it's coming out anyway DEFO do it then. Try Mark at Lateral, he normally carries a good stock and might be able to help.
As for the -12, it came off the car at the weekend as I'm just about to start my off season mods. How does this bad boy grab you....
Engine out job as it need the full rotated kit. Should perk things up a bit.
