Default 3 port solenoid (?) question

I bought my car 2 years ago from a trader that said it was standard.
Since then everytime I work on it or remove a peice of dashboard I find new plug connectors that aren't connected to anything.
I've come to the conclusion that it had a lot of gauges and possibly a few mods when it was being driven around japan.

Anyway I took the top piece of the airbox off tonight (I needed to clean the MAF sensor) only to find that the bottom hose coming off the 3 port solenoid (I'm guessing) doesn't connect to anything and as far as I'm aware it never has since I've owned the car.

My car is an 95 JDM wagon, is a 3 port solenoid standard on these cars?

Where should the bottom hose connect to?

Thumbs up

It's the atmospheric outlet, it doesn't connect to anything.

Out of interest in the photo, you have the actuator itself but what are the other two items on the bracket linked by a hose

So can I remove it then?

If anything it will make the car a few grams lighter!

Its the MAP sensor linked to a solenoid which cycles between sampling boost levels and atmospheric pressure.

I had a read of the two sections below on Scotts website Frequently Asked Questions which are relevant
Car Not Hitting / Achieving Target Boost

Car Hit's Fuel Cut / Too Much Boost
