I have a strange little problem with my MY00 UK Turbo PPP. Under light acceleration and as the car comes onto boost (about 2300-2600rpm) a squeal can be heard from the car. While out driving it only really does it in second and third and occasionally a little in fourth. When full throttle is applied it stops.
On closer inspection it is coming directly out of the exhaust. The only way to partially replicate the noise is, with the car stationary and idling, stamp on the throttle hard for a second, the engine revs build quickly and as they pass 2300ish the squeal can be heard for a split second.
I originally thought it was part of the exhaust but now I'm not so sure.
Could it be the waste gate not sealing or passing in some way or part of the actuator pipework or restrictor.
When the car was new it didn't have the PPP, I fitted it about 18 months ago, the center section is Magnex with silencer box instead of the PPP one and the restrictor is the original one, as I believe the PPP had a different restrictor.
The car drives fine but this squeal is really starting to pi55 me off!
