Default boost problem

my 95 wrx keeps hitting overboost on the standard boost controller seems to be fine with a tap is it posible maybe the solenoid in the boost controller is knackered?

Is it completly standard??
If its decatted and not remapped then that probably your problem.

if not then,
Check for splits in the boost pipes. Maybe run some cleaner through them if none found.

its got a uprated manifold straight through exhaust decated engine is standard i think only had it for a month it had a tap on it when i got it but i was advised to take it off?
