Default odometer correction

Hi,

Ive just fitted a little gearbox thingy to my 1993 wrx intrument cluster so that I can read my speed in mph.
The trouble is I want to roll back the odometer so that it displays the correct miles. (it currenty shows kms up to now and will clock up in miles now)
Is there a guide showing how to do this?
I took the clocks out and had a go but gave up.

just make a note of the milage when it was converted and keep it with the service history so you can figure out what milage it has done

yes that is what i have done. i didnt think it was an offense to change the mileage, only to lie about it. example you can call someone out of the yellow pages to come around and "correct" your mileage, mechanical and digital odometer types.
