Default Keep Hitting Fuel Cut?!? :(

Can someone please help. i keep hitting the fuel cut on my '95' sti im running a polar performance chip that lets me boost to 1.1bar but every now and again it will go past that and my fuel cut kicks in making me look like a twat basicaly I dont think there is a leak as i have checked for split hoses. i had a slight feeling it might be my DV but ive changed it and not noticed anything. is there a way of raising my fuel cut? or disabling it? i know its not the smartest thing to do but i dont know any other way other than lowering the boost which i dont want to do.

Any suggestions will be appreciated!... cheers Alan

I assume you are using the standard boost control solenoid, try giving it a blast thru with some brake cleaner, if you have a MBC fitted then turn it down

Yeah, squirt it in which ever takes your fancy, top port prob best as gravity works n all that You could also try cleaning the brass pill in the bottom pipe from the BCS as if this is slightly obstructed it will cause over boost (bearing in mind the hole in the pill is only 1 or 2 mm iirc so dont take a lot to block it)

ps They can be a bit 'snobby' on here as on many other forums. You my find you get a better response if you buy one of the membership deals, well worth it

Read this thread, a couple of good replies by Scott.T who developed your chip
Fuel cut?? map sensor?? something's wrong!
