Default Fitting Sti intercooler to WRX (Newage)

OK guys my STI intercooler has arrived, my WRX (2002) is remapped (PowerStation ECUTek) on a Milltek sports cat system with decat up-pipe, I am planning a VF34 upgrade including injectors in the near future, should I wait to fit the intercooler at the same time?

And for my next questions, what hose(s) if any will I need to change to get the intercooler to fit? I have the Metal pipes on the new STI intercooler but not the hose to connect to the Turbo.

I would wait, you'll need to get the correct hose anway. Best bet would be to get a Samco intercooler hose kit for the STi, that way you'll have an uprated hose set.

Will that kit fit the STI intercooler to the Std WRX manifold?

Your STi intercooler should have arrived with an alloy "Y" pipe and the hoses to match......... It's a straight swap if you have been sold all the correct bits

I've got the alloy Y pipe and the short coupler hose, just not the main hose from the alloy Y to the Turbo, I knew this when I bought it as the guy needed the hose to fit his uprated TMIC.

Any body know if the SFS hoses are any good or should I just stick to Samco?

OK to confirm I need the Samco STI hoses for the turbo, e.g Y pipe, boost and coupler?

Give Alyn at AS Performance a call. I got my 70mm connector hose from him for about 7 quid, I think (proper samco stuff).
