Question smoothing and polishing inlet manifold

I am looking into what is involved in smoothing and polishing a my99 classic inlet manifold.

i would like to do this as a project over the colder months.

i have access to normal hand tools, saws, drills etc

anyone got a how to guide or any tips?

i know it is going to be hard work, but when i see the end results it makes them feel even better knowing that you done it your self.

thanks
ian

someone posted a thread up not so long ago having done this, apparently it was quite hard work, results look stunning though.

Just plenty of elbow grease mate,

If you have a dremel that comes in handy, and loads of sand belts.

I started mine and it took days just to get rid of most of the casting lines. I can't be bothered with it now.

I know RCM do them on an exchange basis, can't remember how much though.
