Problem with overcooling? Please help...
Hi guys, new to the forum, and sorry this is my first post but I don't know where else to ask!
Basically I've just got a UK Turbo 2000 which has had a few mods done to it, decat, full exhaust, induction, new turbo, fuel pump, standalone ecu, front mount, remap etc. and basically it never warms up!
You can drive it for as long as you like, but the water guage will never even move if you're driving, and the oil temp is barely warm, like 45 degrees sometimes 50....heaters never really blow hot air either only vaguely warm.
The only time it'll warm up is if you leave it idling, where it'll NEARLY get up to half way on the water temp and the oil will get to about 60 degrees....as soon as you drive down the road though it drops right back down to cold again!?
I thought it could be the coolant temp sensor, as I do have trouble starting it in the mornings sometimes, but that would make the fan stay on right? The fan never comes on, I've left it idling for ages before and it's never gotten hot enough to come on.
So if it's not the fan keeping it cold, what is it? The radiator is standard as far as I know, but it does have a front mount...
Any ideas?
Thanks!
