Default Missing part?

Just looking at my engine bay this morning and I noticed like a shiny fresh part that looked like it had something attached to it at one point. Its had a full engine rebuild, am I missing a part?

Yes those flanges are where the aircon pipes connect to the compressor. If your car had aircon, it doesn't now. Are the pipes loose in the engine bay somewhere, and were they there when you had the car back after the rebuild?

I mean the two large silvery pipes that should be connected to those flanges. If they're floating loose round the engine bay you'll have no difficulty seeing them.

Yep, although from that picture it's clear that the inlet and outlet ports on the aircon compressor have been left open to underbonnet dirt and dust, which is far from ideal if you intend getting it refitted.

From your post it's unclear whether you think the garage that rebuilt your engine has failed to refit the pipework and regas the system, or whether someone's broken into your bonnet and nicked the pipes. Presumably you have some idea whether they were present when you got the car back from the rebuild. If that garage forgot to refit your aircon system, you should obviously be giving them a ring pronto.

those mounting points look pretty clean so id guess the pipes have been removed recently!as splitpin says,go back to the garage if you suspect they have forgot them, afterall it will cost you in the future should you wish to replace the aircon.oh and if you do id cover those holes until the pipes are back to stop dirt ingress.
