Check engine warning light- temp solution
if you running a decat downpipe dont get duped into getting it remapped like i nearly did, got a code reader and it clears straight away.it probally will come back on eventually but for the sake of spending £30 for the reader and 15 secs plugging it in and clearing fault code instead of £400 to get a remap !!!!

i may be wrong but you are missing the point here mate, its not that getting a decat mapped is a rip off and you being "dupped" its to let your ecu know that that this has been changed so fuelling and other things are altered to now handle a decat.by resetting the cel you are doing just that and not sorting out why the cel is on,it may be ok for a few weeks, few months, for ever, but it could cause problems just as easy as it could go bang.

Totally missing the point IMO.
The CEL is the tip of the iceberg. The issues are that it frees up turbo spooling and as a result will be spooling quicker. As a result it will be taking the engine to areas of the map that subaru have not designed the car to be run in.
Even if it doesnt overboost (most do) this could still be a big issue with fueling being affected by it.
Would be a shame to lose an engine for the sake of a proper remap and it would be a shame not to get the improved performance that the decat will bring through that remap too.
Your choice though and I am pleased that you are happy with your choice - good luck with it
