HKS S40i plugs, have mine had it/ do I need a different rated plug?
Hi, my classic has been running a bit rough lately to say the least. Very lumpy and erratic on tick over and under hard acceleration the engine isnt fire-ing on all four cylinders. Managed to remove the drivers side front plug and took some pics. Doesnt look very healthy to me, what do you think?
I am running the correct plug or should I be thinking of changing it for something else?
Also, its probably been asked 100 times but what is the best technique for removing all 4 plugs?
Anyone know how I attach a pic to this link?

The HKS is a rebadged Denso plug and I think the issue is that its heat range is too cold for your application.
HKS S40i = Denso IK24 which is equivalent to Heat range 8 NGKs.
Unless your car is heavily modified to the 500bhp range, get NGK PFR6G or Denso IK20 plugs, and if you want to go one step colder use the NGK PFR7G or Denso IK22.

Hi, thanks for the info. The car is rolling roaded at 350 but it has a HKS 600 BHP rated crank. Dont think I dare take it up that high though. 350 is more than a handful 8-)
