Hi im thinking of fitting the above to a bugeye so i can get the best of both worlds,my question is whats the score on injectors ive read the bugeye uses 380s plus 440s either way do they need upgrading and how good are the turbos. Im only looking for around 300bhp so think they may be the way forward

think its 440s on your car mate. powerwise they should be good for over 300bhp easily

i got one of harveys hybrid td04's on my bugeye and it made 295 bhp with 440's in then i changed to the sti pinks and it made 309bhp with 326lb/ft, thats with bob rawle mapping it.

Its a great turbo and i achieve full boost by 2800 rpm

iam not sure what the limits are on standard injectors, i only changed mine because i wanted to max the turbo out (or as close to maxing it out as poss) But even with standard injectors in you will be very pleased with the results as i was.
I will have a look for my power graph on the comp and post them up so you can see the differance between the 440's and sti pink injectors with this turbo.

I put sti pinks in mine when I fitted the AF hybrid, have you checked the mod lists and expected power outputs on his website? For the sake of £150 or so for the injectors plus a couple of hours fitting it's worth doing rather than maxing out the standard ones.

Ive just been looking on Andys website and i must admit hitting full boost that early sounds pretty good plus i like the idea of having a rebuilt turbo with a warranty. It looks like the injectors would be on or near there limits so it would make sense to change them. Cheers guys i think my minds made up,i had been thinking about a vf35 or similar but tbh i dont really need more power than the hybrid can produce.

Mines running 1.35bar, as your comment, I was looking for a VF35 but didn't fancy spending around £300 on something I could not be 100% sure on so I picked up a TD04 for £30 off here and exchanged it on the hybrid.
I also didn't want anything that would put to much strain on the gearbox.
Just to add the mapper told me he thinks they are a more predictable option over the VF35 as he finds they can produce various outputs.

Thats exactly the same reasons as me,the cars done 60,000 miles now so i don't want to push my luck to far and after a couple of not so good experiences with used turbos id rather go new

When you upgrade your injectors don't you guys upgrade your fuel pump as well? I haven't seen anyone mention upgrading their fuel pump on this thread.

I'm running 440's at 80%, I made the mistake of going three inch turbo back, so lost a little spool but your only talking 200rpm ish, running 3 bar of pressure, updated fuel pump.

A Bugeye WRX will have 380cc injectors from factory, so an upgrade to Pinks may be worthwhile when changing to a TD04 hybrid.
Have ran a few of these and quite like the turbo, very spooly and good value for money for 300-320bhp.

ive been thinking about 1 of these too. had my td05 mapped by andy f to an estimated 315bhp which is great but it spools a bit slower than id like. would it be worthwhile changing over to the hybrid as id get roughly the same bhp (300 or so) i do have a decat dp and api ported an wrapped headers and uppipe and k&n induction with rez delete to go on which i imagine might help get some earlier spool. andy said we could maybe hit 340 with the extra bits fitted and a remap again.
