Default How rare is a 05/55reg jdm widetrack sti blob ?

Im looking now at going for one of the above jdm sti's after owning my bug sti for over 3 and half years i fancy a slight change and believe the uk sti is a bit watered down compared to jdm's.i have i have had a quick look about for some for a rough price guide but found there isnt many around, are they rare as they are imports or just so good no ones selling them.

Does any one import these on demand at all ? Carl.

As a JDM car they are quite sought after also there were not really that many imported compared to the amount of UK ones you can buy, They do come up now and again same with the Spec-C`s, Prices are going to vary but i`d guess at 8-10k for a nice one, and a couple of grand more for the spec-c.

Just got to keep your eyes peeled. I was in the same boat as you a year ago. What colour are you looking for? reason I ask is there are prob more JDMs in blue than any other colour.

You could always try Litchfield Imports they are very well sought after importers and tuners. They do a model called the litchfield Type 25 often go for a bit more money last i saw was around 14k but they are going to be in excellent condition and have a very good spec on them. might be worth checking out if your budget stretches that far, if not you could always contact them for tuning.

The Yen is too strong against the Pound at the moment to bring a fresh one in at a decent price, you'll need to find one already in the UK IMO

Believe the widetrack started in 05. I sold a widetrack JDM STI last year and that was an 05.

I have a my05 wide track jdm sti and it is on an 04 plate, August 2004 is build date although not imported until December 2005, superb car but took me about 6 months of hard looking to find, I wanted blue in near standard condition and one did turn up, well worth the wait but I almost went to look at a few uk cars first as was fed up of looking. Mine turned up at a Renault dealer presumably as a part ex. Fair price and warranty. They didnt know anything about the improvements on the jdm but they did notice it sounded different. Just keep looking on auto trader and piston heads and be prepared to travel a bit for the right car.

More chance of finding a non wide track <2004 JDM Sti. Not many Ver 9 / 10 JDM Sti's in the UK. Saying that, a friend of mine just bought a blue 54 plate one from Hurst Cars, Beford last week!!

the widetracks started on 54 plate, but the jdm narrow track has a dccd unlike the uk narrow track (apart from wr1).
