Default Newbie. Vf22 Or vr28

Hi all. Was in the rx8 ownersclub but fancied a change and maybe a little more punch in power
What's the upside and downside Of both these turbos??
As I'm in 2 minds Of what to fit to my 2003 blobeye wrx
I have all the supporting mods

ive just done this to my car im having to get new rods and pistons because wrx ones melt lol i believe vf22 has more power capabilities but its a bit more laggy the vf 28 is slightly less powerful but is less laggy better for a allrounder youll have to change your exhaust and injectors aswell 550cc will be good for those turbos and you may want to change your feul put oh and finally youll have to change the intercooler to an sti one or a front mount and youll get around 360 370 bhp i would think

Thanks for the reply. Spent a small fortune on it already only owned it since November lol. As you do I'm running 300bhp on my standard td04 with fuel pump s/s exhaust system air filter and a map. just put a stage3 clutch in with a lightened flywheel...
Iv also got 550cc pink injectors
Sti red inlet manifold
S/S headers
Vf22 and vf28
Front mount I.c.
And a map sorted when finally get round to fitting everything lol
3 port boost solenoid

you will have to do the pistons etc if you want 350+ bhp

How much did you pay for your pistons and rods?

ive just paid 900 for em but mines a 2.5 wrx yours will be aroun 700 then youll need gasket set about 80 quid
