Lightbulb Opinions needed

Currently have a classic with sports downpipe then blitz system and a panel filter.

Other than that it's standard.

Do I spend money on new fuel pump get it mapped new turbo to replace td04 and few more bits like silicone hoses etc.

Or just keep it standard and save the money?

And it's run on 97ron all the time

Thanks

All depends what u want from the car, once u start though u will get the bug, if your after a little more, defrost get a walbro or hrc updated pump, bigger injectors, then either a bigger tmic or go front mount then get it mapped depending on what type of classic u have now will will depend on the power output after mods and mapping

At the moment it's a genuine classic but I keep reading all these threads of more power ect

What would a decent upgrade route cost excluding labour charges.

Cheers

Well where to start lol, unless ur gonna rip the engine to bits and stoker it lol,

Ok so u got exhaust, get down pipe de-cat, fit a front mount intercooler, yellow injectors, walbro 255 pump, change turbo for a TD05, decat up-pipe and tubular headers, then a re-map on mine with those mods I am looking at 315bhp but mine was 260 from the factory, with u saying u have a td04 do u have uk or Wrx wagon?

Gc8C48d gearbox code is TY752VB4AA

http://www.catherineandken.co.uk/sti/wrx.html

Unless there wrong mate same engine and box as the version 2 sti, runs td05 turbo and Z4 Ecu almost and sti kind of like the half brother was brought out just before the full sti production car! Was a modified production Wrx between the end of 95 and 96

tubular headers not required unless going over 400hp, get a nice set of harveys ported headers if staying under

Uk turbo are I believe about 210 in standard form so with a few extras like front mount ported headers fuel pump injectors I bet you would see a nice 250+ out of it and about 1 bar of boost I think that's nice nothing mental no stress on e internals and quick enough for the td04 as it spools fast u will have a quick accelerating motor

Yh just bear in mind of the internals mate, I'm not sure how far a uk can go with out rebuilding the inside, a Wrx will go to about 315/320 safely, but I would say u should go for 280ish with a td05 sit top mount yellow injectors pump and the map it will be a quick car but everyday driver if u have 2 maps on the ecu fitted

So shopping list

hrc pump 255lph or higher?

yellow injectors

sti top mount which version is best?

td05 is that the best next upgrade

ecu remap can you choose between two settings?

silicone hoses
