Default Replace battery?

Picked up an 06 WRX STi this week.. battery is 7 years old so I took it for a free check at halfords. It was showing 47% service life and 'unserviceable', so it looks like I should get a new one.. although no problems starting or anything yet. The guy at halfords suggested leaving it until after summer and replacing it for the winder but I'm not sure thats a good idea?

Also if I do replace the battery.. is there any 'gotya's' I should know about with disconnecting and reconnecting power.. do things need reset/codes etc? or should it all just come back online.

thanks

As said mate, 10 minute job.
Don't get ripped off though, my specialist does Exide ones with a 4 year guarantee for £70 fitted!

cool, where did you get it done, in Belfast? Also did you have to put in a radio code.. I can't find anything about that in the car docs :-)

Easy job ... done mine in 10 minutes

I also have a 2006 hawk and my alarm was going off intermittently, the change of battery has sorted it, well worth the £

Cheers
