i wasnt going to get a second hand motor for my car but i have sourced a low mileage sti 8 lump complete with avcs heads,i will be fitting the engine but not wiring up the avcs just yet so will it be ok to run it like that and just have a map tweak to compensate the sti cam profiles? i simply cannot afford another map,the correct ecu and wiring for the avcs at the minute hence me not plumbing it in yet

any advice please guys....

Yeah everything ok, as its been rebuilt 2.1 striker so got run in map. Then once run in having it all sorted.

As above it won't be to full potential
