I'm personally in no rush, but now that we have over 26, should a "closing date" be set?

I'm not in a rush either especially if there is a chance of even more discount.. Have you decided of what way your going to be fitting your oil gauges either sandwich plate or adapter, just curious really ?

The maximum discount was 20% and I think that’s an excellent price
No need to set a closing date just yet they will keep the offer open for another month if anybody else that wants to join in

52mm Gauges and yeah it’s cheaper to get 2 sets as said.

Right I have PM'd you all on the list (think 1 in box was full) so if you haven’t got instructions ask me to re send them.

Thanks

RBAZ just want to say thank you very much for organizing this. You have done a great job. Especially when answering questions that had already been answered earlier!!!

If anyone knows of any guides to fitting these or fancies writing one up I would be grateful as I have no idea on how to fit them!!

they are mainly plug and play , you only need one live (all the time) , one earth and one live when key in , the forth wire is amber and can be wired to side lights or even just a switch like i have , this wire allows you to switch between white or red colour lights , i took all mine from the stereo (from what i can remember in the stereo loom the yellow wire is the constant live and the red is only live when key in and black is earth)... you only need to wire one of the gauges up as they are all linked together....
if you using the adaptors for the oil pressure/temp gauge then remember to use ptfe tape but dont go mad as the sender wont earth and dont over do as they are brass threads ..
oil temp goes under the intercooler, oil pressure is just underthe alternator , well thats on my my00 ..

Just a couple of questions guys,

The oil fitment from gauge place says its only for the oil pressure? is this correct as someone says that it was for the pressure and temp gauges???

Secondly, if the gaugepod from gauge place is the fibreglass one with the bendable tabs underneath to fit, then i would seriously recommend people avoid this as they are a really really crap fit and any small hairline crack in the fibreglass grows with everyday driving on our high quality (bumpy and pot hole filled) uk roads

If not then i cannot comment, but personally i will be going for a plastic one with the correct clips to fit into the original mounting points of the clock piece.

Finally, i am after some info on the oil sandwich plate as i have heard that they are not reccomended or are not liked but am unsure as to why as surely it would be the easiest and best fitting piece of kit.

Many thanks

h4rry, yes only oil pressure is supplied. You need an adapter to screw their sensor into the mounting above cylinder 3.

Naughtyhunnybunny I fitted my oil temp above cylinder 3 a year ago (bought 3 gauges in the previous group buy).

Yes that’s correct £25 for both of them
The sandwich plate is too low on the Subaru engine and the 3rd cylinder bung is the hottest part of the engine (so I am told) so the adaptors offer a much more reliable reading.
Personally I think the oil filter sticks down low enough anyway stick a sandwich plate above it and it will be in the line of fire on speed bumps

Yes that’s all the major parts you need. You will also need some tools etc basic knowledge to fit them. (Sorry but I am not listing them ) Will try do a basic fitting guide if I have time when I fit mine.

What other question about pods

Group buy still going for anybody else that wants some. Put your name down.
