RALLYTECH polyurethane mudflap kit GROUP BUY ROUND 2
Hey guys, we're running a new group buy, this time for our polyurethane (PU) mudflap kis.
Now I know that the price is a little higher than most other brands, but please remember these are motorsport grade polyurethane like the ones used in the WRC and not the cheaper PVC like most of the mudflaps sold in the UK.
Reasons why you should buy these!
1. PU is far more hard wearing than PVC.
2. 5 different colors and any logo is possible.
3. CNC cut flaps, our flaps don't have rough edges like the competitors flaps.
4. Waterjet cut aluminum mounting brackets - not the razor sharp stainless ones like the other brands.
5. Stainless steel nuts, bolts and washers.
We actually also manufacture PVC mudflaps and sell them on eBay, the difference between PVC and PU is huge. We offer our PU kits in 3mm and 4mm thickness, available in red, blue, black, green and orange.
AVAILABLE FOR GC/GM/GF, GD/GG, 08+ HATCH AND SEDAN
All kits require drilling of the inner wheelarch to attach the brackets. The 08+ kits also require drilling into the front wing on STI models.
------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------
So first off here's the info about the pricing
We have two different thicknesses, 3mm and 4mm. Our RRP on the 3mm is $150 (92.00 GBP approx.) and the 4mm is $150 (99.00 GBP approx.)
5+ names on the list: 3mm 80.00, 4mm 87.00
10+ names on the list: 3mm 75.00, 4mm 82.00
20+ names on the list: 3mm 71.00, 4mm 78.00
Group buy will be active until the end of September 2014, assuming there is enough interest.
Each kit includes:
4 x mudflaps (2x front and 2x rear, 3mm or 4mm thickness)
4 x 1.5mm aluminum brackets (2x front and 2x rear, powdercoated in wrinkle black)
Stainless steel mounting bolts, nuts, screws and washers
Metal retaining clips, plastic push plugs
------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------
So here's the info about the product
We already sell the PVC flaps but wanted something that we could say was pretty much the best money could buy. This is a no expense spared product! Our main aim was to complete with a well known brand of mudflaps in the USA. Most of our US/Canada customers so far have been people who have switched from this well known brand to ours.....one customer kindly sent us these comparison pics:
blue mudflap is Rallytech, red flap is another brands tiny 'urethane UR' mudflap
3mm or 4mm pure polyurethane sheet, made to our flexibility and hardness specifications
Compared to a PVC flap the difference is shocking. The polyurethane flaps are still very very flexible but they won't flap around at high speed like the PVC ones will (flappy mudflaps on the motorway )
This is a polyurethane mudflap:
This is a PVC mudflap:
Dual mounting points that allow you to raise/lower the flap by approx. 30mm.
Our mudflaps feature two sets of mounting holes. This way you can alter the ride height if you are running low coilover suspension.
We use 3M decals on the flaps, this is the best decal money can buy.
These are super resiliant decals compared to the ones other UK based companies use. A roll of this material cost us around 400 pounds.
Here's some pics of the flaps
Shipping info and import duty
We have two different shipping options:
1. DHL Global Mail.
These shipments usually go to Germany first, then on to the UK. This shipping service is already included in the price. Low chance of import duty with this service.
The normal shipping time is 10-20 days however in the last GB for the bolt kits the shipping was taking MUCH less time to arrive in the UK
2. DHL Express.
2-3 day normal shipping time. There is a higher change of being stuck with import duty with DHL Express.
DHL express is an extra 7.00 gbp

The 4mm kits are made to FIA specs on hardness and thickness. We supply to a number of cars that compete in the FIA APRC. All cars are actually still on the original set of mudflaps we supplied them after 1 full season of competition.
The 4mm stay pretty rigid when driving but still flex if something hits them. They don't split The flaps can be bent double and then they simply spring back to the original shape.
