I'm at my parents again because I went to a potluck in PoCo last night, plus I have to pick up my food. Guess I should decide if I'm gonna meet up with you guys or maybe eat here. Too bad I can't meet up wit you guys on the way back to my place, but I'll have a bunch of stuff that has to go in the freezer.

Snapped a few pics, including my boost gauge install. Unfortunately the flash washed out the gauge in this pic:
Gauge is more visible in this shot, plus you can see why I've been asking about a deck:
The AUX cluster where I was thinking of replacing the Voltmeter with an EGT gauge:
Apparently an EGT gauge/probe would probably still end up running me $130-150 through my dad. I've also decided that location would be too low. I may consider placing one next to the boost gauge instead.

Man, I'm sick AGAIN! That's the third effing time in 4 months!
Bruno, you need to find some S2 CF trim. The wood doesn't quite live up to Audi's name How visible is your boost gauge setup? Does your hand block the view?
Btw, I sure see a lot of parts I've seen from a 944 before in the interior. Is that a K26?

I don't think my hand will block the gauge. It is a bit far to look down/over to it but it's better than the 5ktq was.
Yes, that's a K26. Laggier than the later K24 cars (smaller turbo, higher compression, different ECU, and same engine code go figure) but generally considered to be capable of a bit more power. Then again I think the 20vt cars also had K24s.

Sounds like Darren's friend, Chris' car was stolen.
I wonder if CFOX still does their "Come back with my goddamn car!" segment.

There's a few different variations of the K26 for the 944. I think stock is either K26/6 or /4, and the turbo S had /6 or /8. I don't remember which is which, just that the S's number is 2 bigger .
The S's turbo had more flow, obviously. I think there has been some attempts to hybrid the two turbos to give it more kick but not more lag.

034efi sells K24/26 Garret T3/TO4E hybrids. Basically, they use a modified K26 hotside and the rest is Garret so it's a bolt-on replacement for the stock turbo.
The other option they have now is a custom header/downpipe with Garret flanges. It's seriously expensive though and will only work once you switch to EFI because the CIS system gets in the way of where the turbo ends up.

I already posted that a few posts back. I forgot when I originally read his post but it clicked after for some reason when I read about his wife. For some reason I suddenly remembered that Darren had his bachelor party at Cachan's place.

I bet you that'll bolt up to the 944 too, which would make a pretty interesting proposition.
