Silly busy at work...

Appetites and a sense of humour!
I think the best thing to bring is whatever you want to drink.
We'll have some drinks (both kinds), but meat is my priority!
Looking forward to seeing y'all! <---- (been to Tennessee.)

Nice to see that good ole Crystal mall is still coming through.

I totally agree. The hardware is really competitive, and they don't have all the baggage of previous cozy carrier relationships that the Koreans have. Sometimes I fantasize about going to work for HTC in Tokyo. The big boss there is even kind of a hottie.

Yeah, it's only what, the fifth generation product, and they FINALLY got rid of Opera but I'm still skeptical about whether it can beat the Safari implementation. And I can't believe they still haven't learned the lesson from the Newton -- that particular form factor is too big to fit in your pocket, and if you're going to carry it in a bag anyway, a mini-note is far more useful. Unless, of course, you are a Man Bag (murse) kind of person ...
Hmmm, since you are stuck on CDMA for the time being, how about a dual radio phone? Gotta love the writeup for this one:
Coolpad Phone Has Dual SIMs, Dual CDMA/GSM - Gizmodo Australia
Also the rumour mill says that AU in Japan is going to start really giving the finger to Qualcomm and making more of these:
KDDI au: Product Lineup by Function > W62S
Of course, in the wonderful world of CDMA there is zero compatibility with the Japanese standard because of the swapped TX/RX bands, so it's totally irrelevant to you.

Just got back from Vernon. Took the futureinlaws up there to experience outofcitylife for a bit. Hydroplaned twice on hwy-5 on the Goodyear's. They worked well, keeping up at at least 120km/h in yucky rain storms, and worse conditions when passing semis. STi under full load with 4 ppl and a full trunk is definentely an experience.
Just had the rear diff, tranny, clutch and coolant replaced at Eric's shop. Convenience right down the road for me. Total or Docksteader's rounded my rear diff hex bolt a bit though....

I'm killing boatloads of time (4 hours total, 2 to go) in SeaTac waiting for my flight. So boring. Don't think I made it into MS.

My rear diff bolt is rounded out too I'm told.

The Nikon lens on our SLR says:
AF NIKKOR
35-105mm
1:3.5-4.5
Will it work with the new Nikon DSLRs?

Yep. There bolts are all rounded out! Dunno what they've been puttin on it back there to round out the bolt. Must not be using the right fitting, or perhaps not enough lube?
KY - reading what cachan said 'bout the Nikon system, it looks like it'll work, but what do I know. I have a Sony camera.
You can always take in the lens to a photography store like London Drugs, Blacks, etc. They'll be able to tell you if it'll work or not. If they're nice, they may even let you pop the lens on a camera to try it out!
Did your parnets invest in any other lenses for your Nikon camera, or is that the only one?

Those won't work on D40, D50 or the D60 as they only accept DX lenses. You're best bet with AF lenses are D80's and above.

Is it a hole that rusted through, or is it between the flanges? If it's between the flanges, you've got air tools, so we can pop the bolts off, replace the flange and/or use high-temperature gasket material goop to seal it up.

If it works for D80 then I will look into it. Don't think I want a D60. Where did you guys purchase your cameras? Ebay? Brick and mortars?
