Well, bought a roll of Dynamat for £15. Cut it in half (horizontally) and stuck it in the front doors.
Also glued a sheet of 1" thick foam behind the door panel trim to try and get rid of some rattling. (Nightmare getting the panel back on - the foam is just too thick !)
Incidentally I had to remove a 3" square piece of similar material - Subaru's attempt at deadening ?
Certainly, if you tap the doors there is no more tinny-ness, but I'm not sure there's a difference from the speakers. Without being able to quickly switch between the 2 scenarious I'll never know, but hey I've done it, the front speakers are (still) ace and the system is getting better now it's been run in (just like the scoob engine
