I'm a bit of an ICE virgin and this is a bit cheeky as I'm asking a question about forthcoming Evo installation. I have got myself a boxed sub. What I'd like to know is whether people just stick them in the boot loose, or strap, screw or otherwise fix them in. I'd like to be able to take it out if I need to move large loads.

Any advice gratefully received.

Loose ? you must be joking ! In an EVO or Scoob with all that G-Force ?

Mine is tailored to the profile of the boot, and is pushed down by the bootlid arm when the boot is closed. I added a bracket holding the box to the side of the car. Now it's stuck in place good.

If I want to remove it I remove a single screw, unplug the sub cable and remove. Easy.

Without a tailored box I would go for brackets top and bottom or some sort of strap (will look crap).
