Hi Guy's

I'm planning to fit a set of 6" MB Quart components in my MY99, and will just be running them of a Kenwood Mask headunit. Is there any benefit in recabling the existing wiring running through the doors back to the headunit ?
If so, has anyone had any experience with this job ? Easy or bit of a bitch ?

Yes there's a benefit, and yes it's a swine to do.

Use 12AWG wire or thereabouts, and WD40 for lubrication. Use something stiffer as a pull through wire, such as mains single core wire.

No pain no gain!

If you are installing speakers you will soon want an amp. Believe you me it will make a significant difference.

Then you will want bass
