Hi

Managed to get my hands on 2 x 10" JL woofers so I'm looking for an amp to power them - anyone recommend one to me and any other items I may need?

Head Unit: Kenwood 5220 BT

Rear Spkrs: Standard

Cheers,

Al

Depends what budget you have and what kind of power you looking to get to the subs?
I have JBL Grand Touring 1000watts amp and it's a good solid amp and pulls the power well from the battery,
I know directed do some decent amps too.
Go for minimum 4 gauge power cable too.

Hi personally i would get a 4 channel amp(pheonix gold, kicker, alpine)depending on budget , lots of good ones out there, and run the subs and fronts off amp, not too sure i'd replace rears as i have just changed mine( 4" theloudest.com excellent quality and value) and not noticed a big improvement i think it's more to do with the location of them in rear doors. I noticede in my bugeye from inside boot if you look up at parcel shelf it looks like cut outs for speakers mmmmm should i have mouted some there??? just put infinity kappa in front and they are awesome... love focal too got them in my veedub's will look what model amps i'd recommend later off to work now gonna need lots of leads and patience fitting this lot

some of the best amps are Genesis but i have a very similar setup to you and i use a JL Audio 300/4 v2 amp to run my Focals and twin subs and it works really well

ha ha, the funniest thing i've heard this year.

avoid 'the loudest' at all costs. amp's don't do stated power. speakers can't take rated power. 6x9's 2000w

have a look on Talk Audio

if you can afford it, go for genesis or jl audio. if you are on a budget go for jbl

Oh dear if that's the funniest thing you have heard this year i feel sorry for you.

It is just my opinion on the speakers and have used the 6 x 9 's (2000w) and the 6 1/2" in a friends car and he is very happy, and find them value for money imo not really arsed what power they state just going on build quality and price and good sound

if you look on the loudest for reviews a few people feel the same way??

didn't even mention their amps either
