I've found a pdf of a certificate of insurance for my wrx which ended around the 20th jan 2013 so maybe im in luck. Would a print out of this be enough proof?

Plus it dosnt mention how many yrs ncb I had. Would an Insurance company be able to find out for me?

Contacting your previous insurer should be your first port of call.

Hi,
Just to let you know that we have some schemes that will accept NCB for up to 3 years.
Regards,
Dan.

If your schemes except 3 years and you then switch after that year do you then go back to 1 NCB if the following company doesnt except a gap of more than 2 years?

Ah thats great news. My old policy was with admiral and started on 08/01/11 so it ended less than 3 years ago. I need to know if my no claims would count before I buy the car because without them I cant afford to insure one

Thanks

Hi,
To be honest once we have accepted the NCB it is then updated to current NCB so you shouldn't have any issues transferring it to other insurers.
Regards,
Dan.
