Last year (my first with LV due to Tesco wanting to increase premium by 8%) premium = £600.

This year's renewal = £850, yes that's right, a 41% increase :eek::eek:

No change in circumstances and no claims.

Ring them, ask for an explanation, but be armed with more quotes which are lower.

Odds-on they'll come down;)

Use moneysupermarket.com :notworthy to get yourself a benchmark, then get on to LV= and hit them with the lowest price! You'll probably end up switching companys though, I do every year!! Only way to get a decent price!!

LV did the same to me a couple of years ago -so I moved to Moley.

3/4 yeras ago LV were offering good premium prices, but they may well have been bitten too hard with claims levels.
There's plenty more insurers out there so just move on to the next.

Same as Butty for me, 6 years with LV always very good prices, never a single claim or reason to phone them other than vehicle changes, but this time they wanted an extortionate amount, so I moved to Moley too, and top service to them as well :thumb:

I phoned LV to cancel my policies, and they asked me why and I told them they were far too expensive, so the guy just said oh, ok
